JP: A Music Video I Enjoy

 
The reasons I enjoy this video include:

• The band/song (thrash metal band, Kreator - 'Phantom Antichrist')
• The integration of performance and concept (each having their own merit and intrigue with the intercutting between the two enhancing the enjoyment)
• The post-prouction visual effects (film grain, colour manipulation, etc.)
• The camera techniques (constant movement with jarred, handicam and tracking/zooming static cam; as well as the variety of shot sizes and types throughout, all adding to the visceral pleasure)
• The concept- apocalyptic wasteland with survivors being oppressed by militaristic roamers and conflict still occuring during the performance (e.g. a bomb exploding in the background during the guitar solo)
